Products and safety
- Where do your products come from?
- Our products originate from and are stocked in our warehouse in the United States. The country of origin is listed on every product page.
- How do I choose the right wheel or disc?
- Match four things to your tool and job: the diameter that fits under your guard, the arbor hole size, a maximum speed (RPM) at or above your tool's speed, and a product made for your material. Our buying guides and Safety Information explain each step.
- What do "Type 1", "Type 27" and "Type 29" mean?
- They describe the shape. Type 1 is a flat wheel, commonly used for cutting. Type 27 has a depressed center for grinding with the face of the wheel. Type 29 is an angled (conical) shape, common for flap discs. Use the product's own instructions to confirm the right use.
- Do cutting and grinding wheels expire?
- Resin-bonded wheels and discs can age. If a product has an expiration date printed on it, do not use it after that date, and store it dry and flat.
- Are your products certified to a safety standard?
- We state a certification on a product page only if we can document it. If a page does not mention one, do not assume it. Contact us if you need documentation for your workplace.
